Rescue Me ID: 17-12-04-00100Honey (female)

Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Needs Vaccinations

Honey was found on USF grounds in Tampa, running around a dark parking lot. My daughter brought her home until we could locate owners. No one ever claimed her and I have been taking care of her. She is very sweet, somewhat litter box trained.I have large dogs, and I'm worried about her safety. Would love for her to go to loving home

Rescue Me ID: 17-12-03-00088Handsome Jack

Rabbit    Age: Young Adult

Personality: Average Energy, Submissive

This adorable bunny had his ears and part of his back foot eaten off by his mama when he was a newborn. He was abandoned at our home by someone who used to live with us. I can no longer take care of him, as I have five cats and poor Jack is shut in one room. He absolutely loves to be pet, however is terrified of being picked up. You may have the cage, food and bedding along with him. He really is a sweetheart!

Health: Intact (Needs to be Fixed)

We have 5 lovable bunnies in need of new homes. Several months ago, we took in a bunny (temporarily) for a friend who was moving out of the area, but did not know that the bunny was pregnant. We have successfully found a new home for the Mama bunny but have not had any luck finding a home for her babies. Egg and Snickers (first two female) and Dorian, Smores and MooMoo (last three male bunnies) were born on July 19th 2017. They are all sweet bunnies and are very social with humans. We are in desperate need to find these cutie pies a new home.

Rabbit    Age: Baby

We have 5 lovable dwarf bunnies in need of new homes. Edgar and Wilbur are mom and dad and we do not have an exact age. We were told 3 and 4 when we took them in in March. We were told they were both boys (that's why the names). To our surprise one day we came home to 3 baby bunnies in the cage. Noelinor, Tanner and Jeffrey were born on May 17th 2017. They each have their own unique personalities. They are all loving and playful of course. They enjoy their time with humans and will sit very well while being petted. We took these fellas in as a favor for a friend that had to go out of state for family emergency and that friend is ... Rabbit    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Rabbits
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Needs Vaccinations

Black female rabbit, with above average energy, fairly quiet, but does chirp when approached. I rescued two sister rabbits but I only have the space for one, so I would like to find her a new home. Protective of her sister, but since she is the only one being re-homed there shouldn't be any problems. Extremely picky when it comes to her food; she usually just eats timothy hay and picks out the pumpkin seeds from her pellet mix. Please consider accepting her into your family, she's a sweet little love bug!

I recently took in two bunnies with the intention of fostering this one. I felt like she needed loving, appropriate care before finding a forever home. That being said, she must go and must go to a loving home. I don't know much about her but here's the 411: -Neighbor A 'rescued' this bunny and 4 of her siblings from being eaten. -Neighbor A let them go and the 5 bunnies became our neighborhood bunnies. -This bunny got pregnant and had babies. -Neighbor B captured the bunny before she gave birth and started caring for mom/babies. -Neighbor B thinks the bunny was malnourished because babies were fighting for food and two didn't make it. ... (Read More)Two did make it and are happy and healthy; the male baby is also for adoption. I have adopted one of the babies and also have the mama. I need to separate them as they need constant supervision for feeding and are starting to get territorial (with each other). I don't know the bunny's age or breed but she's very sweet and has beautiful fur! She eats well and loves to play outside. She can be quite shy but understandably so; she's had quite the life thus far. Current living conditions are indoors and I'd prefer to give her to a family who plans to do the same. She doesn't enjoy small cages (current outdoor cage is 5' in diameter). Please reach out with serious inquiries only! I will travel to you. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rabbit in Florida
Rabbits can make good pets in Florida if they match your IifestyIe. Rabbits are adorable, soft animals that make popular pets for children. While a rabbit can make a good pet for a child, keep in mind that to be healthy a rabbit requires a quiet, calm living environment. Please only adopt a rabbit if you feel you can create a safe and quiet space for the rabbit in your home. Rabbits can be housetrained to live inside, out of a cage, which dramatically increases their life spans. Rabbits can live as long as a dog or a cat, and unfortunately some people do not approach the decision to get a rabbit with the same seriousness or commitment they might have about getting a dog. Meanwhile, breeders may separate young rabbits from their mothers too early, which damages their immune systems, and pet stores might provide very little information about proper care and nutrition. As a result, countless rabbits die within weeks of being bought. Others are never spayed or neutered, resulting in unanticipated family additions and a major overpopulation problem. Sadly, the majority of these sweet pets are eventually euthanized. Rescue shelters that accept rabbits are often overflowing. If you are planning to bring home a pet rabbit, please adopt!
