3 rescued lionhead baby bunnies need new homes. 8 weeks old. 2 long haired girls and one handsome shorter haired blue boy. We took them in with all intentions of keeping them, but my son and my dog (seriously) are very allergic to them, and their hay. The boy needs a separate home, the girls can go together (don't want any breeding). Indoor pet homes only please, though they love supervised outdoor play time early morning and evening. (They are used to going out in their enclosed safety pen/run during those times) $25 rehoming fee for each bunny. We tried our best, but the allergies are beyond out of control. Can send each baby with pellets ... (Read More)and Timothy hay. Would like to speak to prospective adopters before rehoming, for the bunnies' safety. Located in Palm Coast. (Less)

Rabbit    Age: Adult

Health: Spayed

Madeline was one of nine rabbits that were found abandoned and running loose in an Orlando neighborhood. We estimate her to be 2-4 years old. Madeline is a low-key rabbit. She loves pets, and she is a very friendly rabbit. She's perfect with her litter box and would be a great free-range rabbit. So far, she hasn't impressed us with tons of energy, but she may still just get used to her surroundings. She definitely likes other rabbits and would do well with a spayed/neutered companion. She is currently being fostered in Holiday (about one hour outside Tampa). She would do well with another spayed/neutered rabbit. Her adoption fee is $30. If ...     We've had Jake about a year - we adopted him after his young owner lost interest. He is quite a pistol- he loves to play chase and he's smart as a whip. I think a trip to the Vet will cure some of his natural marking tendencies. He frequently rubs on your leg to get your attention and he loves to be brushed. He's NOT fond of being picked up - I think he's afraid of heights. We are going to be travelling a lot this summer and he needs to go to a good home where he will get lots of attention.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rabbit in Florida
Rabbits can make good pets in Florida if they match your IifestyIe. Rabbits are adorable, soft animals that make popular pets for children. While a rabbit can make a good pet for a child, keep in mind that to be healthy a rabbit requires a quiet, calm living environment. Please only adopt a rabbit if you feel you can create a safe and quiet space for the rabbit in your home. Rabbits can be housetrained to live inside, out of a cage, which dramatically increases their life spans. Rabbits can live as long as a dog or a cat, and unfortunately some people do not approach the decision to get a rabbit with the same seriousness or commitment they might have about getting a dog. Meanwhile, breeders may separate young rabbits from their mothers too early, which damages their immune systems, and pet stores might provide very little information about proper care and nutrition. As a result, countless rabbits die within weeks of being bought. Others are never spayed or neutered, resulting in unanticipated family additions and a major overpopulation problem. Sadly, the majority of these sweet pets are eventually euthanized. Rescue shelters that accept rabbits are often overflowing. If you are planning to bring home a pet rabbit, please adopt!
