Rescue Me ID: 16-05-05-00624Lil' Bits

Rabbit    Age: Young Adult

Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Intact (Needs to be Fixed), Needs Vaccinations

Lil' Bits is a rabbit we adopted (we think she is female), hoping to give a forever home, but since adopting 2 others that turned out to be dwarf rabbits - they just play too rough. We are afraid she will hurt the smaller bunnies and are just trying to find her a home where she can be the only rabbit. She is a very sweet, shy thing, and loves to be cuddled and cooed at! She is the rabbit to the right in the photo.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rabbit in Florida
Rabbits can make good pets in Florida if they match your IifestyIe. Rabbits are adorable, soft animals that make popular pets for children. While a rabbit can make a good pet for a child, keep in mind that to be healthy a rabbit requires a quiet, calm living environment. Please only adopt a rabbit if you feel you can create a safe and quiet space for the rabbit in your home. Rabbits can be housetrained to live inside, out of a cage, which dramatically increases their life spans. Rabbits can live as long as a dog or a cat, and unfortunately some people do not approach the decision to get a rabbit with the same seriousness or commitment they might have about getting a dog. Meanwhile, breeders may separate young rabbits from their mothers too early, which damages their immune systems, and pet stores might provide very little information about proper care and nutrition. As a result, countless rabbits die within weeks of being bought. Others are never spayed or neutered, resulting in unanticipated family additions and a major overpopulation problem. Sadly, the majority of these sweet pets are eventually euthanized. Rescue shelters that accept rabbits are often overflowing. If you are planning to bring home a pet rabbit, please adopt!
