Rescue Me ID: 14-08-28-00025Luna (female)

Rabbit    Age: Young Adult

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Needs Vaccinations

This is Luna, she is a 2 year old lion head dwarf rabbit who has a partner named Shadow who looks almost exactly like her, and she is up for adoption but only with Shadow (You can see his info seperately). She is a shy bunny but she loves to jump around and play in large spaces. I am looking for someone who really has the time for him and can provide her and Shadow with a large cage or pen because I do not want them caged up uncomfortably. She does have a disorder of Malocclusions where her top and bottom teeth always will grow no matter what she chews on but I have a solution a vet showed me about trimming her teeth and I can show you as ... (Read More)well. She has trouble grooming herself with her long teeth so I have to clean her up because she does get poo stuck by her tail, but she is a very sweet bunny and is very attached to her partner Shadow. Rabbit    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Rabbits
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive

I am moving and cannot take Honey Bunny with me. I have had her since she was a few weeks old and I would say she is approx. 6 months old. She is a very sweet girl and likes to play on the couch while you are sitting watching tv. She loves her nose to be rubbed and will nudge you if you try to stop. I will be sending her cage (she does need a bigger one), food dish, water bottle, food, hay and toys with her. I am asking a small rehoming fee of $25.00 just to make sure she goes to a good home.

Rescue Me ID: 14-08-19-00162Oreo (male)

Rabbit    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Rabbits
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered

This boy is Oreo and he is a pretty special rabbit. Oreo is blind in one eye and therefore he cannot compete as a show animal. Because of the rush that shelters get in the summer, Oreo was nearly euthanized simply because he is partially blind. I took Oreo into foster care and he is looking for a new loving home. He is a very sweet rabbit, has not bit me once. He was ok with my own rabbit, a dwarf male. I have not introduced him to any other animals but he generally has a very low-key temperament. He loves to eat fruits and veggies when he gets the chance (only as snacks), and he loves running around on the floor. Oreo would be a great ... Rescue Me ID: 14-06-21-00346Bender (male)

Rabbit    Age: Adult

Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

Adopted 'Bender' 4-5 years ago from Miracle Rabbits Rescue before they moved out of Florida. He is a spunky and loving pet with lots of personality. He lives on our pool lanai and his own three-story condominium (6' x 3' x 3') that I built. Unfortunately I'm at a crossroads where I have to sell our home and move. I'm very concerned and stressed that Bender finds a good home. Please find a good home for him.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rabbit in Florida
Rabbits can make good pets in Florida if they match your IifestyIe. Rabbits are adorable, soft animals that make popular pets for children. While a rabbit can make a good pet for a child, keep in mind that to be healthy a rabbit requires a quiet, calm living environment. Please only adopt a rabbit if you feel you can create a safe and quiet space for the rabbit in your home. Rabbits can be housetrained to live inside, out of a cage, which dramatically increases their life spans. Rabbits can live as long as a dog or a cat, and unfortunately some people do not approach the decision to get a rabbit with the same seriousness or commitment they might have about getting a dog. Meanwhile, breeders may separate young rabbits from their mothers too early, which damages their immune systems, and pet stores might provide very little information about proper care and nutrition. As a result, countless rabbits die within weeks of being bought. Others are never spayed or neutered, resulting in unanticipated family additions and a major overpopulation problem. Sadly, the majority of these sweet pets are eventually euthanized. Rescue shelters that accept rabbits are often overflowing. If you are planning to bring home a pet rabbit, please adopt!
