Rabbit    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Male Rabbits Only
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Spayed

I have two rabbits to be put up for adoption. This one is Raven. Male (Tucker) is listed as ID#15-05-25-00386. Have been together since they were about 7 weeks old. If possible would like to keep them together. Got them in February 2009. Tucker is neutered, while Raven is not spayed. It has been a very hard decision to make, but due to unexpected circumstances we had to move to a smaller place to live and landlord does not want tenants to have pets, but is allowing us to try to find a home for them. Since we do not own home now and home is a lot smaller we must keep them in their cage all of the time, which is not fair to them. ... (Read More)Looking for a good home for them to stay together. Tucker likes to take care of Raven by constantly grooming her and he usually lets her start to eat before he does. Please help me find their 'Forever' home. Any questions, please contact me. Serious inquiries only. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-05-11-00660Tickle

Rabbit    Age: Young Adult

Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Intact (Needs to be Fixed)

Black, baby rabbit found Mother's Day 2013 in backyard. It was clear that it was a domesticated bunny that escaped a hutch. My family took it in and it has been an indoor bunny in a hutch ever since. Litter box trained, friendly with adults and kids. We have provided a safe home for it but we have a large dog are unable to let the bunny roam the house. We are looking to find a home where the bunny can spend the majority of the time outside of the hutch, interacting with a loving family.

Rescue Me ID: 15-04-07-00345Cadbury (female)

Rabbit    Age: Young Adult

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Spayed

Brought to us by teenager not capable of taking care of her. We've had her less than a month. We took to vet for neutering and learned she's a female. He wouldn't spay her as it was too dangerous? She's 's really friendly, likes to cuddle and sleep on your legs or tummy. She's not potty trained so she pees and leaves pellets everywhere when we let her roam free in the house. My husband built a Catio for our cats and we put her out there with her opened cage during the day so she can roam about. She likes our cats our 5 dogs our 5 month old niece. I just want her to have more freedom than we can provide. My husband wants to keep ... (Read More)her caged because of her potty habits. I've been sick so it's hard for me to train her and clean up after her. She deserves a better quality of life. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-06-23-00484Peaches

Rabbit    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Rabbits
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Intact (Needs to be Fixed)

Peaches is a sweet girl that loves to play and be held. She gets along well with cats, and is good with kids. She enjoys being out of her cage and exploring the area. She LOVES to drink out of a water bowl, preferring this over her water bottle. She loves to eat pretty much anything. She is great with kids and being held. We haven't had much success mixing her in with other rabbits as she gets territorial. But she likes the cats and plays well with them!

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rabbit in Texas
Rabbits can make good pets in Texas if they match your IifestyIe. Rabbits are adorable, soft animals that make popular pets for children. While a rabbit can make a good pet for a child, keep in mind that to be healthy a rabbit requires a quiet, calm living environment. Please only adopt a rabbit if you feel you can create a safe and quiet space for the rabbit in your home. Rabbits can be housetrained to live inside, out of a cage, which dramatically increases their life spans. Rabbits can live as long as a dog or a cat, and unfortunately some people do not approach the decision to get a rabbit with the same seriousness or commitment they might have about getting a dog. Meanwhile, breeders may separate young rabbits from their mothers too early, which damages their immune systems, and pet stores might provide very little information about proper care and nutrition. As a result, countless rabbits die within weeks of being bought. Others are never spayed or neutered, resulting in unanticipated family additions and a major overpopulation problem. Sadly, the majority of these sweet pets are eventually euthanized. Rescue shelters that accept rabbits are often overflowing. If you are planning to bring home a pet rabbit, please adopt!
