Rescue Me ID: 15-05-07-00027Clover (female)

Rabbit    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Rabbits
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed

This sweet little girl is Clover. She is a lovely bunny with a fairly quiet personality and she always found herself at the bottom of the totem pole in her litter. Her sisters definitely let her know that they were in charge of her. Even though the other bunnies aren't interested in spending time with her, Clover desperately wants to cuddle up to them. She will be happiest in a home with another friendly bunny that will want to snuggle her and give her attention. She is submissive so will likely match well with other bunnies, as long as they're gentle with her. Clover is friends with her brother Dublin and the two of them would be happy to ... (Read More)go to a home together if you're looking for a pair. Clover is social with her foster mom, she loves treats, and she's very curious. She has been in a foster home where she hears the sounds of cats and dogs in the other room and she's not too phased by them. She is not comfortable with young children though & she's not a big fan of being picked up. However, she is curious and likes to check you out and hop around you if you sit on the floor with her. Overall, Clover is a lovely girl who will do well in a low-key home where her lower energy level is respected. She has very little experience with children, but was fairly uncomfortable with those she has met. If you'd like to learn more about Clover (and/or her brother, Dublin) please contact us at victoriapets@gmail.com and tell us a little bit about your family and what you're looking for in a new rabbit friend. Rescue Me ID: 15-05-07-00022Limerick (female)

Rabbit    Age: Adult

Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed

Shamrock and Limerick are looking for a home. These two have different personalities that compliment each other well and they are bonded (sisters) so want to find a home together. Limerick is energetic, active, funny, and very spirited. She is social and smart so can likely be trained to do just about anything with treats. She is a great girl, but her smarts and her energy will keep her new family on their toes, so previous rabbit experience is a good idea. Limerick has gorgeous, soft, blue/grey fur and always keeps herself clean. She is very particular about where things in her area go & she gets upset when they're moved. Shamrock is ... (Read More)pretty easy to take care of. She's a bit more aloof than her sister but still very interested in what's going on around her. Neither Shamrock nor Limerick are comfortable being picked up or being held. However, if you sit on the floor with them they'll come check you out to see what you're up to. They have no problem jumping up on the couch to sit next to you & watch TV, but don't expect to cuddle with them by picking them up. Since they'd prefer not to be picked up or held, a family without young kids is probably best for this pair. The only vice that both of these girls have is nipping at your socks or pant legs if you're taking too long to fill up their food bowl. Due to their fondness for food, their intake may have to be monitored in the future to prevent them from becoming too round. These girls aren't used to living in a cage; they generally have free run of their rabbit-proofed room and they take full advantage of it. Allowing them to continue this lifestyle and get lots of exercise will help keep their waists a little slimmer. They also enjoy spending time outside in a safe, rabbit-proof enclosure. They enjoy digging in the dirt, chewing on branches, and jumping up on boxes. They could happily live as either indoor or outdoor rabbits, provided that their enclosure is warm and safe, and they get daily interaction from their new family. These girls are both spayed, are 1 year old, and are standard sized rabbits. If you think that your home would be the perfect match for Shamrock & Limerick, please contact us at victoriapets@gmail.com and tell us a little bit about your family. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-04-22-00031Dublin (male)

Rabbit    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Rabbits
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered

Meet Dublin. This little guy is a goofball who loves to run around and explore. He's social and friendly, and likes to hang out next to you, but he's unsure about being pet or picked up. He really enjoys hanging out & having quiet time. He will do best in an adult home where he will get lots of interaction. Dublin has been around other bunnies and cats and seems quite relaxed around them. Of course, like most bunnies, it takes time for him to get to know a new bunny before they become friends. He was dominant when he was with his brothers, but he's quite submissive around females. Dublin will do well matched with a female bunny (don't ... (Read More)worry, he's neutered) or could go to a home with his sister, Clover. The two of them are friends and get along quite well. Dublin has also had experience with a cat-savvy dog and was comfortable having her in the area next to him. He's an indoor bunny and is used to living in his own area/enclosure. He's not used to living in a cage and has never been outside. For more information about Dublin (and/or his sister, Clover) please contact us at victoriapets@gmail.com. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rabbit in Canada
Rabbits can make good pets in Canada if they match your IifestyIe. Rabbits are adorable, soft animals that make popular pets for children. While a rabbit can make a good pet for a child, keep in mind that to be healthy a rabbit requires a quiet, calm living environment. Please only adopt a rabbit if you feel you can create a safe and quiet space for the rabbit in your home. Rabbits can be housetrained to live inside, out of a cage, which dramatically increases their life spans. Rabbits can live as long as a dog or a cat, and unfortunately some people do not approach the decision to get a rabbit with the same seriousness or commitment they might have about getting a dog. Meanwhile, breeders may separate young rabbits from their mothers too early, which damages their immune systems, and pet stores might provide very little information about proper care and nutrition. As a result, countless rabbits die within weeks of being bought. Others are never spayed or neutered, resulting in unanticipated family additions and a major overpopulation problem. Sadly, the majority of these sweet pets are eventually euthanized. Rescue shelters that accept rabbits are often overflowing. If you are planning to bring home a pet rabbit, please adopt!
