Rescue Me ID: 18-02-10-00014Waldo (male)

Rabbit    Age: Young Adult

Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered

Age: 1 year Sex: Neutered Male Weight: 1.51kg Breed: medium mix Medical Treatment/Conditions: internal/external parasite treatment (incl EC and tapeworm), neuter Hi, I'm Waldo and I am training to become a NASCAR driver! I like to spend my days training by pretending im on a track running 500 laps - ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM! When my tank is running low, I hit the pits for a hay re-fuel. When I'm not practicing, I enjoy flopping down with my foster family and listening to stories. I also always make sure I hit the spa at least once a week for a full body massage for recovery from all my NASCAR training. I have a bit of a quirk that I might as well ... (Read More)get out now before the media flaunts it around when I'm famous- I am a compulsive licker. Yes, you read that right. Carpets and blankets? Lick. Couches and chairs? Lick. You? Lick. I just can't help myself, even if it makes me a bit of a weirdo. Anyways, if you'd like to become my NASCAR agent, or if you know any spayed single ladies out there (I'm not interested in having kids), please fill out this application form here. Vroom Vroom, Waldo. Please visit hoppyhearts.ca for more information. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-05-07-00027Clover (female)

Rabbit    Age: Adult

Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Dublin and Clover are brother & sister who are looking for a home together. Clover is a lovely bunny with a fairly quiet and submissive personality. She is social with her foster mom, loves treats, and is very curious. Dublin is a goofball who loves to run around and explore. He's social and friendly, and likes to hang out next to you. Both buns have been in a foster home where they hear the sounds of cats and dogs in the other room and they're not too phased by them. They are not comfortable with young children and don't really like being picked up. However, they will tolerate being picked up and cuddled by a rabbit-savvy person. They ... (Read More)do enjoy being part of what's going on so like to be part of the family. They'll follow you around (especially if you have food) and entertain you with their antics. They are curious and like to check you out and hop around you if you sit on the floor with them. Dublin and Clover were born in January of 2015, are standard-sized rabbits (about 7 lbs), and are both fixed. They have been vaccinated for Rabbit Hemorrhagic Diarrhea. Dublin & Clover are used to living indoors in their own area/room; they are not used to living in a cage, and have never lived outside. If you'd like to learn more about Dublin & Clover please contact us at victoriapets@gmail.com and tell us a little bit about your family and what you're looking for in a new pair of rabbit friends. Rescue Me ID: 15-05-07-00022Limerick (female)

Rabbit    Age: Adult

Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Shamrock and Limerick are looking for a home. These two have different personalities that compliment each other well and they are bonded (sisters) so want to find a home together. Limerick is energetic, active, funny, and very spirited. She is social and smart so can likely be trained to do just about anything with treats. Limerick has gorgeous, soft, blue/grey fur and always keeps herself clean. She is very particular about where things in her area go & she gets upset when they're moved. Shamrock is pretty easy to take care of. She's a bit more aloof than her sister but still very interested in what's going on around her. Neither Shamrock ... (Read More)nor Limerick are comfortable being picked up or being held. However, if you sit on the floor with them they'll come check you out to see what you're up to. They have no problem jumping up on the couch to sit next to you & watch TV, but don't expect to cuddle with them by picking them up. Since they'd prefer not to be picked up or held, a family without young kids is probably best for this pair. These girls aren't used to living in a cage; they generally have free run of their rabbit-proofed room and they take full advantage of it. They also enjoy spending some time outside in a safe, rabbit-proof enclosure. They enjoy digging in the dirt, chewing on branches, and jumping up on boxes. These girls are both spayed, are 3 years old, and are standard sized rabbits (about 7 lbs.) They have been given a clean bill of health from the vet and have been vaccinated for Rabbit Hemorrhagic Diarrhea. If you think that your home would be the perfect match for Shamrock & Limerick, please contact us at victoriapets@gmail.com and tell us a little bit about your family. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rabbit in Canada
Rabbits can make good pets in Canada if they match your IifestyIe. Rabbits are adorable, soft animals that make popular pets for children. While a rabbit can make a good pet for a child, keep in mind that to be healthy a rabbit requires a quiet, calm living environment. Please only adopt a rabbit if you feel you can create a safe and quiet space for the rabbit in your home. Rabbits can be housetrained to live inside, out of a cage, which dramatically increases their life spans. Rabbits can live as long as a dog or a cat, and unfortunately some people do not approach the decision to get a rabbit with the same seriousness or commitment they might have about getting a dog. Meanwhile, breeders may separate young rabbits from their mothers too early, which damages their immune systems, and pet stores might provide very little information about proper care and nutrition. As a result, countless rabbits die within weeks of being bought. Others are never spayed or neutered, resulting in unanticipated family additions and a major overpopulation problem. Sadly, the majority of these sweet pets are eventually euthanized. Rescue shelters that accept rabbits are often overflowing. If you are planning to bring home a pet rabbit, please adopt!
