Rescue Me ID: 14-04-18-00436Toven (male)

Rabbit    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Rabbits
Personality: Very Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

Toven is an adorable lionhead we rescued from a feedstore. In order to find him a suitable home we purchased him. The issue with this sweet boy is he was born with a deformed back leg. This does not hurt him at all but it does keep him from hopping around like a normal bunny. We want him to go to the best home, not a feedstore purchase as an after thought to some hillbilly or something. He deserves a good life. He is friends to any rabbits, has been around youngish ones similar to his own age and was super friendly, everyone seems to see he's special and immediately loved him. I want him to have a playmate so if you are looking to add to ... (Read More)your bunny family this little fella would be happy with you. He needs the waterer low, he needs to be brushed every so often as well to maintain a happy healthy coat. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-04-14-00448Bun bun (male)

Rabbit    Age: Young Adult

Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Needs to be Neutered

Breed: Mini-Rex Age: 4-6 months Fur color: Honey (His fur is super soft, almost like down.) Adoption Fee: $30 includes cage and supplies. If I know he's going to a good home, the fee can be lowered. :) I got Bun bun when he was a baby, but I didn't realize how much time and care rabbits needed. I have not handled him much, so he's skiddish, but not mean. He lets me pet him, but I can tell he's scared. I can pick him up sometimes, but other times he freaks out and kicks. The only other rabbit he has been around is my other rabbit (vampire) who is an un-neutered male. They are in separate cages because they don't get along. Bun bun attacked ... (Read More)him, but only after Vamp repeatedly cornered him, and (for lack of a better word) humped his head over and over. So Vamp kinda asked for it.. Needless to say, Bun bun does not like Vampire at all. He might get along with a neutered male, or a more submissive male who will respect his personal space. I have no idea how he is with females, but he is not neutered, so he could definitely be used for breeding. He's a gorgeous rabbit. I think if he had someone who was gentle, patient, and had the time to spend with him, he would be a good pet. I would not recommend him for a younger child. I think an older child 12-13? who is gentle and experienced with animals could handle him. :) Please text or call with any questions!! Thanks!! (Less)

Rabbit    Age: Young Adult

Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant

This rabbit was found in Round Rock, TX. I'm not sure if it was abandoned or if it ran away from home (but I have not seen any missing rabbit signs). She is a lion head. She's white with brown/black/gray patches of fur. We have considered keeping her but we have so many animals and other responsibilities right now that it would be better for her if she could find a better home. She seems nice, but doesn't like to be held. She is okay being in the same room as my cats, my dog, and my kids. Thank you.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rabbit in Texas
Rabbits can make good pets in Texas if they match your IifestyIe. Rabbits are adorable, soft animals that make popular pets for children. While a rabbit can make a good pet for a child, keep in mind that to be healthy a rabbit requires a quiet, calm living environment. Please only adopt a rabbit if you feel you can create a safe and quiet space for the rabbit in your home. Rabbits can be housetrained to live inside, out of a cage, which dramatically increases their life spans. Rabbits can live as long as a dog or a cat, and unfortunately some people do not approach the decision to get a rabbit with the same seriousness or commitment they might have about getting a dog. Meanwhile, breeders may separate young rabbits from their mothers too early, which damages their immune systems, and pet stores might provide very little information about proper care and nutrition. As a result, countless rabbits die within weeks of being bought. Others are never spayed or neutered, resulting in unanticipated family additions and a major overpopulation problem. Sadly, the majority of these sweet pets are eventually euthanized. Rescue shelters that accept rabbits are often overflowing. If you are planning to bring home a pet rabbit, please adopt!
